| The tear... lets see, I've replaced the
old wool sub-floor, caulked and sealed the edges, sprayed thick goopy undercoat
stuff underneath it, and covered the interior floor with marine grade carpet.
The entire teardrop is aluminum so I'm planning to insulate and wood pannel
the interior, but I need to re-do the wiring first. I tried to get new
tires for it but discovered that the size isn't MADE anymore! it has very
old tractor type tires... farm duty (I think they are 6.00 x 18??) very
tall and narrow to fit within the wheel wellls. Well the guys at the tire
place sold me some new (used) rims for a light duty truck that seem to
work for $15.00. I need to paint them and unfortunately I won't be able
to use the little hub caps from the old wheels which saddens me. Oh well...
I suppose it is better to have newer more reliable tires on it. Perhaps
I'll try to find some cool hubcaps for it. |

| Back to the interior... I'll probably
place styrofoam-type sheets behind the panneling for simple insulation
and then stain the wood. I have a collection of re-printed vintage international
travel stickers that I plan to put all over the interior and then coat
it with clear varnish. I like the silver aluminum look but the "L" shaped
frame structure doesn't look so hot so the wood will be better. I'l keep
some areas the raw aluminum and use a wire brush drill bit thing to give
it that brushed look. I guess I need to take some pictures pretty soon
huh? |

| The kitchen will be last and the most
work but I already have been collecting things for it like a stove and
new propane tank etc. |
 |
| I'm completely out of control about my
teardrop you know... I'd work on it 24 hours a day if I could. |
