These are some constuction pics. The trailer was on its side when most of them were taken.
The kitchen
door being built.
Story: Here I am building the door and trying to
figure out the layout of the lights and plate so I can run the wires.
The trailer is also upside down here awaiting axles.
The kitchen
counter.
Story: This is the kitchen counter in the rough. In
this picture you can see the composite construction. Look at the edge
of the counter, you see the wood sandwiching the foam.
The kitchen
cabinets.
Story: These are the kitchen cabinets, upside down. One
side will be the refrigerator, the other storage. I haven't decided if this
should be shelves or drawers. Any suggestions?
The kitchen
in full..
Story: This is the full back view, on its side, with
no door.
Vacuum bagging
the outer skin on.
Story: This shows the vacuum bagging process. First the
inner layer is coated with epoxy.
Vacuum bagging
the outer skin on.
Story: This is more vacuum bagging process. Then the foam.
Then the inside of the outer layer. Then . . .
Vacuum bagging
the outer skin on.
Story: . . . the whole trailer is put in a sealed bag. A
big shop vac is inserted and the power is turned on.
Vacuum bagging
the outer skin on.
Story: This pulls a vacuum on the whole thing and
atmospheric pressure presses everything together assuring a good bond.
Inside view.
Story: This shows the inside. It is hardly finished
and stil has construction crud everywhere. Here too you can see the
sandwich construction. You can also see the inside,
underneath storage in this picture. In here will be the battery (I hope),
the water tank, and extra storage.
